Bristol was two full weeks ago now since the Cup Series had an off week last week. There's not a lot to say about Bristol, Kyle Larson led just about every lap and Denny came up short. Another weekend of stale short track racing, NASCAR fans are losing patience with the Next Gen car.

What to Expect This Sunday

Talladega Superspeedway always brings chaos, opportunity, and surprise. Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500 promises more of the same. The last nine races here have given us nine different winners. With Zane Smith on pole and a crowded field of contenders, expect aggressive fuel saving, tight drafting, and late-race aggression that shakes up everything. Teams will rely on manufacturer alliances early, but when it comes down to the final laps, it’s every driver for themselves.

Drivers to Watch

  • Kyle Busch is racing with a chip on his shoulder every week and will push hard to end his victory lane drought.

  • Bubba Wallace, a former Talladega winner, has been one of the most consistent drivers this year and will be backed by strong Toyota teammates.

  • Ross Chastain’s aggressive style always makes him a threat for a surprise win at Talladega.

  • Carson Hocevar has shown no fear at drafting tracks and could steal a win if he avoids the big wrecks.

Where to Watch

Catch the action Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on FOX. You can also tune in on MRN Radio or SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Talladega’s 2.66-mile track demands full attention. Whether you watch on TV or listen on the radio, expect a race you won’t want to miss the final 10 laps of.

What We’ve Learned So Far

Ten races into 2025, we’ve seen no clear favorite emerge at superspeedways. The field is tight, the drafting packs are wild, and anyone can win if they stay clean. Talladega’s unpredictability is as strong as ever. History says don’t bet on the dominant car. Surviving the wrecks and timing the final move matters more. Expect a different winner for the tenth straight race at this track. Watch teamwork early but trust drivers to get selfish when the trophy’s in sight.
