Charlotte FC secured a 2-1 victory over Nashville SC at Bank of America Stadium. The match saw Charlotte overturn a deficit with two late goals, maintaining their unbeaten home record.

Nashville SC opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Hany Mukhtar scored from a Dan Lovitz assist. This marked Mukhtar’s second goal of the season and Lovitz’s fourth assist, tying him for the league lead.
After Nashville scored, the game was agressively disputed and the total of 32 fouls signaled the hunger to get the 3 points by each team. Same ambition is what that led to an unfortunate clash between Walker Zimmerman and Kerwin Vargas, when the Charlotte winger spun into the air in an attempt to score off a bicycle kick.

Charlotte responded in the 85th minute. Wilfried Zaha was fouled inside the penalty area and successfully converted the ensuing penalty kick, leveling the score at 1-1.
The decisive moment came in the 90th minute. Substitute Idan Toklomati received a through ball from Pep Biel and scored from the right side of the six-yard box, securing the 2-1 win for Charlotte.
This victory improves Charlotte FC’s record to 4-1-2, placing them in a points tie with Inter Miami in the Eastern Conference. Nashville SC’s record stands at 3-1-3 following this match.
Charlotte FC will travel to play Montreal next Saturday April 12.
