Mexican national team, head coach Javier Aguirre unveiled the 23-player roster for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League Finals. The tournament is set to take place in the United States from March 21 to 24, with Mexico facing Canada in the semifinals on March 20.

Key players to watch

Forwards: Santiago Giménez and Raúl Jiménez headline the attacking lineup. Giménez, currently with AC Milan, has been in stellar form, while Jiménez brings valuable experience from his tenure at Fulham FC.

Midfielders: The midfield is bolstered by the presence of Edson Álvarez of West Ham United and Héctor Herrera from León FC. Álvarez’s defensive prowess and Herrera’s playmaking abilities are expected to be pivotal.

Defenders: César Montes and Johan Vásquez have been selected to strengthen the defense. Montes has been a consistent performer for Espanyol, and Vásquez’s versatility adds depth to the backline.

Goalkeepers: Guillermo Ochoa, with his extensive international experience, is set to guard the net for El Tri.

In addition to the Nations League Finals, Mexico has scheduled two high-profile friendlies in June 2025 as part of the MexTour:

June 7, 2025: Mexico vs. Switzerland at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

June 10, 2025: Mexico vs. Turkey at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

These matches serve as crucial preparation for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, where Mexico aims to defend its title

Fans will be able to buy tickets for the June friendlies starting March 7 at 10 a.m. local time through the official website www.SomosLocales.com.
