Club de Fútbol Pachuca, commonly known as Pachuca, has a storied history in international club competitions, particularly in the FIFA Club World Cup. Established in 1892, Pachuca is one of Mexico’s oldest football clubs and has consistently been a formidable presence in both domestic and international arenas.

FIFA Club World Cup Participation:


Pachuca has participated in the FIFA Club World Cup on multiple occasions, displaying their competitive edge on the global stage:

2007: Pachuca made its inaugural appearance but faced an early exit after a 1-0 loss to Étoile du Sahel. 

2008: The team improved its performance, advancing to the semi-finals but ultimately finishing in fourth place. 

2010: Pachuca returned but was eliminated early, sharing the fifth-place position. 

2017: Marking their best performance to date, Pachuca secured third place, highlighting their growth and competitiveness.


Qualification for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup:


Pachuca earned its spot in the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by clinching the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup, game in which they defeated Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew 3-0, a game that due to the Crews form, took plenty of people by surprise.


The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup is set to feature an expanded format with 32 teams, showing FIFA’s initiative to broaden the tournament’s scope and competitiveness. Pachuca’s consistent international experience positions them as a team to watch. Competitiveness that will be put to the test as they face Real Madrid, Red Bull Salz and

Al-Hilal in Group H.
